Photos and files on a job
Adding before and after photos, documents and the proof of completion to a job in the supplier portal, and who sees them.
Updated
Photos protect you and the customer: they show the problem you found and the work you did.
What you can add
On a job you are attending, open Photos and files:
- Photos, labelled before, after, parts, damage or other;
- documents such as a job card or a parts receipt;
- the proof of completion: the driver’s signature and name, taken on your phone when the vehicle is back on the road (from the Back on the road step, or later with the Proof of completion button);
- your invoice for the job, when you submit it.
Accepted files: JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC photos, and PDF documents, up to 15 MB each. You can delete your own uploads while you can still add files to the job.
Who sees them
- Your photos, documents and invoice are seen by Fix My Truck staff, who share them with the customer when relevant.
- Your proof of completion is shared with the customer automatically.
- You see the files the customer and our team have shared with you, such as the customer’s photos of the problem.
Photos are cleaned of hidden information (GPS position, camera details) before they are shown to anyone else.
When you can add files
You can add files to a job while you are attending it: from when you accept until the job is closed. If you need to add something after that, send it to us and our team will attach it.
Good photos
- A wide shot showing the vehicle and its registration, and a close-up of the fault.
- The part removed, next to its replacement.
- The finished work, and the tyre or part details when relevant.
