Reporting ETA, arrival and back on road

The three updates every job needs from the supplier, how to send them from the supplier portal, and why they matter to the driver and the customer.

Updated

Drivers, fleet managers and our dispatch desk follow every job by your updates. Sending them on time is the single biggest thing you can do for a good rating.

Your updates

Open the job in the supplier portal and use the progress buttons:

  1. ETA. You give an ETA when you accept. If you are delayed, send a new ETA as soon as you know, with a short note if it helps.
  2. Arrived. Tap when you reach the vehicle. The job moves to in progress, and the customer is told you are there.
  3. Back on the road. When the work is done, record it with a description of the work done (required). The driver can sign on your phone as proof of completion, with their name.

Our team closes the job after that.

Why it matters

  • The customer gets an email or text at each step, so they know their vehicle is being looked after.
  • Our dispatch board watches every ETA. If an ETA passes without an arrival, our team is alerted and will call you to check.
  • Arrivals within the ETA are counted in your score.

Messages

Each job you attend has a message thread with Fix My Truck. Use it for anything the team should know: the fault is different from what was reported, you need a part, or the driver isn’t at the location. You get an email when we reply. Our team keeps the customer informed.

Location and directions

After accepting, the job shows the breakdown location on a map so you can navigate to it. If the driver isn’t where we said, message us or phone us.

If you need to hand a job back

Phone us as soon as you know. We will release you and find another supplier, so the driver isn’t left waiting.
